Kinbit ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

Waitlist sign-up

When you join the Kinbit waitlist we collect your name and email address. We use this solely to notify you when the app launches. We do not sell or share this information with third parties.

In-app data (when the app launches)

• Display name — the name you choose when joining a tribe.
• Device identifier — an anonymous ID generated on your device to associate your habits and tribe activity. We do not link this to your real identity.
• Habit data — the habits you create, their frequency, and your check-in logs.
• Streak and activity data — your current streak, longest streak, total check-ins, and tribe activity feed entries.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To notify waitlist members when Kinbit launches.
• To power core app features — habit tracking, streak calculation, and tribe leaderboards.
• To improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to any third party.

3. Data Storage

Waitlist and app data is stored securely using Convex, a cloud backend provider. Data is stored on servers located in the United States. Convex's security practices are described in their privacy documentation.

4. Data Retention

Waitlist data is retained until you request deletion or Kinbit shuts down. In-app data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

5. Children's Privacy

Kinbit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time (e.g. unsubscribe from waitlist emails).
